This week’s Shriners Hospitals for Children Open is the first post-U.S. Open event with a strong field as 13 of the top 30 golfers in the world will head to Las Vegas for the first of a three-week stretch out west. Bryson DeChambeau, Rickie Fowler and Collin Morikawa headline an event that has been a scoring bonanza in recent years.
After one round, DeChambeau is out front following a remarkable 9-under 62 in his first round of action since winning the U.S. Open last month. He’s absolutely hammering the ball and looking to add even more distance to his game. He had five eagle putt attempts on Thursday and will be looking for more of the same on Friday….
