Defending champion Rafael Nadal and five-time champ Roger Federer won’t participate when the 2020 U.S. Open starts Monday from Flushing Meadows, N.Y. But that doesn’t mean it will be easy for Novak Djokovic, the world’s top-ranked player and a three-time U.S. Open winner himself. Djokovic recently dealt with pain in his neck, causing him to pull out of doubles last Sunday at the Western & Southern Open, the tournament that served as a U.S. Open warm-up at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
