Another inedible Masters is in the books, and a lasting image emerged late on Sunday evening when Hideki Matsuyama’s caddie, Shota Hayafuji, took off his cap and bowed toward Augusta National while his boss walked toward that famous jacket. 

It was the perfect ending to an underrated Masters. However — though I will watch that bow at least 100 more times — it is time to spin things forward toward both the PGA Championship and the rest of the professional golf season.

We learned a lot from a single week at Augusta National — or at least we think we did right now — and much of that can be applied to the rest of 2021.
