Twelve of Europe’s top football clubs have announced the formation of a breakaway Super League. The breakaway has been heavily criticised by football authorities, fan organisations and politicians across Europe.
UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin reiterated on Monday that clubs and players involved in the proposed breakaway Super League could be banned “as soon as possible” from all of its competitions and the World Cup.
Here’s a list of players in Super League clubs who could be banned from the upcoming 2021 European Championships, popularly known as Euro 2020, which was postponed by a year due to the coronavirus.
