Hardik Pandya’s quickfire 90 off 76 deliveries wasn’t enough as India fell short by 66 runs in the first One-Day International against Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Friday.

Chasing 375, Shikhar Dhawan and Mayank Agarwal brought up their 50-run partnership inside the first five overs before Josh Hazlewood (3 for 55) got Agarwal caught for 22. Shortly after, Hazlewood removed Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer in the same over to wrest the advantage from the visitor.
