Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said the club could break its transfer record and spend over 100 million pounds ($139 million) on a player, amid speculation over the future of Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.

With Sergio Aguero leaving the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season, City has been linked with Haaland in British media reports and Guardiola will get a closer look at him on the pitch in Tuesday’s Champions League quarterfinal first leg.
