The record was previously held by Patna’s skipper Pardeep, who scored 34 points against the same team in the fifth edition of the league.
Pawan, last season’s MVP, set the tone in the first half of the match as he bagged 18 points to help his side recover from an eight-point deficit to lead 28-18 at half-time. It was also the record for most raid points in a half.
